Animals for adoption
Article 27/2 of the Royal Decree of 27/04/2007
An animal is a living being with feelings, not a toy. The purchase or adoption of an animal must be undertaken with full awareness of the responsibilities that fall upon its new owner. The abandonment or neglect of an animal constitutes an offence that may be subject to criminal or administrative penalties.
