ANTOINE is a pig who has lived a difficult life on a factory farm. Destined for fattening and slaughter, his fate seemed sealed. However, an unexpected event changed the course of his life: the slatted floor of his pen collapsed, dragging ANTOINE and other pigs into a slurry pit. This accident rendered them unfit for consumption.
Although their situation was desperate, the intervention of the fire department was decisive. One of the firefighters, touched by their plight, had the idea of contacting shelters rather than having them euthanized. Thanks to this initiative, a dozen pigs, including ANTOINE, were taken into shelters and given a second chance. Ironically, it was this fall that saved their lives.
ANTOINE is an extremely gentle, cuddly pig who loves to be scratched. He has retained an affectionate nature and enjoys interaction with humans. However, with other pigs, ANTOINE shows he knows how to assert himself: he makes it clear to them that he's the boss. This combination of gentleness towards humans and leadership with his fellow pigs makes him a unique animal, deserving all the love and attention we can give him.
The animal must live with at least one other conspecific.
