Request for extract from the central register

''Permit to keep animals''

Shelters must ask anyone wishing to adopt a pet IN WALLONIA (Braine-le-Château and Waterloo shelters) to provide an extract from the central environmental crime and animal welfare file.

If you live in Wallonia :

All requests for an extract from the central file must be sent to your local council.
It alone is authorised to issue you with an extract from the central register for adopting an animal.

If you do NOT live in Wallonia, your request for an extract from the central register should be sent to:

• or by sending an e-mail to the following address : fichiercentral.environnement@spw.wallonie.be and MUST contain the following information:
  • first and last names;
  • national register number;
  • Your full home address ;
  • as well as proof of your identity or the identity of the peoplefor whom you are requesting the extract (copy/photo of both sides of your identity card)

The Central Index operator will send you your extract from the central file by return e-mail, or by post to your home address for requests received by recorded delivery.

Incomplete requests will not be processed.
