SAMOURAI is a horse with a tumultuous past who came to the refuge following a seizure for mistreatment. At the time, he was living as a stallion in a group of mares. His care was not easy, as SAMOURAI had developed a strong, dominant character. When he arrived, he was neutered but retained a certain dominance over other horses, especially in the presence of mares. However, when integrated into a group of geldings, he gets on very well with the others and finds his place without difficulty.
With humans, SAMOURAI was a real challenge at first. His early days at the shelter were marked by difficult moments, but thanks to a lot of patience and hard work, he calmed down over time. Today, SAMOURAI has made enormous progress. He is much calmer and shows a willingness to cooperate with his carers.
SAMOURAI is looking for a home where he can continue to evolve serenely, surrounded by experienced people who will understand his past and respect his need for stability. With the right care and attention, SAMOURAI will reveal his full potential and become a loyal and reliable companion.
