CHOPIN – A Sensitive Heart in a Bully’s Body

Chopin, a magnificent male American Bully, is a dog full of good will who is finally looking for a family that can offer him stability, understanding, and a caring environment.

Who is Chopin?

Chopin is a big softie… in a body that’s a little too rough around the edges. Kind but clumsy, he hasn’t yet figured out how to properly express his affection. He lacks guidance, basic training, and structure, but behind that facade lies a sensitive dog who wants to do the right thing—he just needs to learn how.

When Chopin is given direction, he settles calmly into a corner and stays put. He therefore has real potential to be a source of calm—as long as someone shows him the way.

His essential needs:

A yard is a must: Chopin has always lived outdoors and needs space to burn off energy.
No apartment: This environment isn’t suited to his energy level.
Training needs to start from scratch: He doesn’t know the basics and needs a patient, consistent, and motivated adopter.
Alone time: He can handle it, but tends to chew out of boredom; he’ll need things to keep him occupied and activities to engage him.
Car rides: He has little experience with this, so he’ll need to be gradually accustomed to it.

Children over 10 years old only: Chopin isn’t mean at all, but he’s really abrupt. For everyone’s safety, a home without young children is essential.

With other animals:

Cats: Absolutely NOT
He has already caught a cat and cannot live with them, for their safety.

Dogs: NO
Chopin charges at dogs he doesn’t know. The only exception is Mia, a female dog he used to live with and with whom he would gently squabble. To put it simply, he’ll be happiest as the only dog in the household.

The ideal home for Chopin

Chopin needs:

a patient, caring, and consistent family;
adopters willing to commit to positive, clear, and consistent training;
a calm, structured environment with a secure yard;
people who will understand that he has a long way to go but has immense potential and a heart just waiting to blossom.
