Chucky is an adorable male Chihuahua cross whose life hasn't always been easy. Long used to staying indoors, he's now discovering the outside world... at his own pace.
Yet this fearful little fellow has so much love to offer: with gentleness, patience and respect, he quickly becomes a cuddly, endearing companion.
What you need to know about Chucky
Chucky needs time to gain his trust, but once reassured, he becomes deeply attached.
Housebreaking: He's housebroken at the shelter.
Walks: As he's never really been on a walk before, he'll need to be gently introduced to regular outings.
Apartment: Yes, he can live there, provided he goes out often to exercise.
Garden: Not essential.
Children : To be avoided with small children, as Chucky can be frightened by sudden movements.
Loneliness: He doesn't take it well. Chucky has always lived surrounded, and will need a regular presence.
Dogs: Okay, he lived with other dogs.
Cats / Car transport: Has never been tested.
His ideal future home
Chucky is looking for a calm, gentle and very patient family, ready to give him the time and security he needs to blossom.
A regular human presence would be a huge plus, as loneliness puts him in difficulty.
A home without young children, but possibly with a sociable, well-behaved dog, could help him gain confidence.
