ASLAN is a male poodle with a huge heart, who has lived happily with his grandmother. Today, he's a little lost at the shelter, waiting for a new home where he can rediscover the warmth of a loving human presence.
Very calm and affectionate, ASLAN loves cuddles and company. He can't stand solitude: when he's alone, he barks, which testifies to his deep need for bonding and security. He's been pampered, and under duress, he can react. That's why we think he'd be more at ease in a child-free environment, or with older children who are respectful and gentle.
He's house-trained and used to apartment life, provided he's taken out regularly. He doesn't need a garden, but he does need peace and quiet. He hasn't been exposed to other dogs here at the shelter, but we've been told he can get along with some, depending on their character. On the other hand, he is not at all compatible with cats.
ASLAN accepts car journeys, especially if they are short.
What he needs:
A quiet home, without young children
A person who is present, gentle and patient
No cats, and possibly a compatible dog
An apartment or house without a garden, but with regular outings
Ideal adopter profile: A kind-hearted person, ready to offer ASLAN a peaceful retirement, full of tenderness and serenity. He deserves to end his life surrounded by love, in a reassuring cocoon.
